01What this is
Wrestling Wire is a fan-run archive of the independent professional wrestling scene — the small promotions and the wrestlers who worked them, and the news that once covered them. It keeps a page for each subject, pairing the verifiable record with a plainly written account of who they were and why they mattered on the indie beat. The point is to keep this corner of wrestling history on the record, because most of it was covered nowhere but sites like the one this domain used to host.
The domain wrestlingwire.net previously hosted a wrestling news site. This archive is a new and independent project. It does not reproduce the earlier site’s articles.
02What this is not
This is not an official site of any wrestling company. Wrestling Wire is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to WWE, TNA/Impact, the National Wrestling Alliance, or any promotion, wrestler or personality named here. Nothing on the site should be read as coming from them.
Ring names, promotion names and related marks belong to their owners. We name them for identification, reference and commentary — the ordinary business of writing about a sport and its history — and for no other purpose. We do not host video or copyrighted material.
03How the pages are written
Every page is original writing. We check the hard facts — dates, promotions, title reigns, where a wrestler worked — against public reference material, and we name our sources at the foot of each page. The framing and judgement are ours. For living people we stick to the public record and keep it factual.
The archive is a work in progress and grows a page at a time. Because the indie scene is thinly documented, some pages are short by necessity; where the record runs out, we stop rather than invent.
